I'm overjoyed as well! Barkley brought Ze in as a speaker for one of its Creativity Symposiums while The Show was still being produced. I was so geeked out to meet him that I could barely think of anything to say.

Chrysler ad would've been a nice PSA but as an ad it was obviously calculated to be just patriotic enough, emotional enough, nostalgic enough ,tear-jerky enough to get people moved. I can write crap like this all day long because it's so predictable. Also I wonder how much it compelled people to buy Chrysler products. By your own admission after watching last year's ad you went and bought a hyundai.
Lastly, I read an article about godaddy and these ads actually increased their business by orders of magnitude, so they won't be stopping anytime soon.

A good list. Others I liked were the VW dog losing weight, the brown M&M and the Fiat one were pretty good. It felt like there was a damn healthy amount of car commercials - I guess the auto industry is definitely continuing on the upswing?

I thought "Matthew Broderick’s Day Off" was dumb and didn't live up to the hype at all.
Chrysler's “Halftime in America” was by far my favorite.

I totally agree with you on Coke's polar bears. I never understood what polar bears had to do with coke and the whole concept has gotten really old.

Go Daddy just needs to stop making commercials.

GI Joe, The Avengers, and Act of Valor were my favorite movie preview.

My favorite was the Skechers commercial with the french bulldog winning the race. I laughed out loud at it and (shock of all shocks) I went to Amazon and bought a pair of the shoes.

It was interesting to read your view on Matthew Broderick’s commercial. I'm an older demographic than you and it really hit the mark for me. I know younger groups have seen "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," but I suppose there is something about when in your life you have watched something with these types of retrospectives and what they bring up emotionally for the viewer. For me it was totally fun and created a warm glow!

I agree with your "worst" comments. The blatant denigration of both genders (although lop-sided towards female) with objectification and domestic violence that more than one company chose to use - they were also effective in that they assured that I will never purchase those products.

Thanks for the interesting read.

Edward & Bella FTW! (I'm such a Twilight-addict) They have the happiest ending I could ever imagine! BTW Edward is AWESOME!!

Aragorn & Arwen from the Lord of the Rings (the movies and from The Tale of Aragorn and Arwen)
She gives up her immortality to be with him! Sooooooooooooo sweet<3

Buffy & Angel (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
They're story is heartbreaking, it makes me cry T_T (BTW I love Bangel MUCH better than Spuffy. After all, Angel was first, right?)
