He made the playoffs 3 out of 5 years in New York and the 2 years he didn't was when Pennington was hurt. Miami was 1-15 last year and then got a veteran QB and now they're 9-5. I don't think a coach makes all the difference. Now Herm's strategy is outdated but it seems he's letting his coordinators have more of a say(see our spread offense). I think Gunther has to go..he's not effective anymore. Give Herm a quarterback(i'm ok with keeping Thigpen) and give us a defense that doesn't look like a junior high team and i think we're closer to the playoffs than you think. We competed in 3/4 of our games this year and if we had a defense worth anything we probably win 4 more games. I say keep Herm and give him one more year. I agree…kind of. I like Herm.
