Look at all the actors that came before Craig! The fact that he could take such a well known role and make it new is what makes him great. Craig is raw and not the polished Bond since he just earns 00 status in Casino Royale. Craig should stay at #2. No doubt, Connery is the best.

yeah, i would move pierce in front of roger moore, but then other than that i agree with you. not like pierce had any say in the directing and casting of the movies. and that line about Christmas on coming once a year is probably in the top 10 cheesiest movie lines ever.

I have to disagree with the placement of Brosnan. While some of his later movies were weak, Golden Eye remains the single best standalone Bond film. Period. The scene where he drives the tank through the streets -- not to mention the awesome performance by Sean Bean -- or the kick ass video game for Nintendo 64 -- is enough to beat the pulp out of any contender.

roger moore should drop a couple notches because of his dislike for the new bond movies. http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/news/va/20081111/122643635200.html

I am not a fan of the ball smashing either. And tho tho scene was changed from the book, they were both brutal nut busters.

As to ratings, if you leave out Woody Allen, I can mostly go with you. I think Moore and Brosnan are a tie tho.

I grew up with Moore, he was MY Bond until I saw a Connery version. I think Moore was perfect for the films he was in, but Brosnan was better than the materiel they gave him.

Looking forward to Solace despite mixed reviews!

I mostly agree but I'd swap #2 with #4. Connery and Moore had a sense of humor and knew that the movie itself was a parody of sorts. Craig just looks too serious, plus the scene with ball-smashing-torture still makes me cringe.

Don't discount Lazenby!

The parachute with the Union Jack while skiing over the edge of a cliff?

The ski pole fire arms?

The evil doer eating snow plow!

The kilt.

Lazenby gets an undeserved short shrift.
