In the democratic primary, this would be a landslide. Not even close.
56% to 44%
David Cook wins American Idol by a landslide, just like I thought he should. Not only was I surprised he won, but I was SHOCKED at the margin.
The hometown KC-Blue Springs boy is the man. The haters will come out of the woodwork tonight.

Our boy won, I was beyond ecstatic!! Simon is lucky Cook won or his apology would’ve been too little too late.
I actually wasn’t surprised because of the predictions on Dial Idol but I was still nervous. It was an AWESOME night!!!
YES!!!
I linked to ya in my post I did and talked about Cook bringing Republicans and Democrats together ;-).
I noticed some of your stuff in the sidebar and I too am a big fan of Lost and the Office. I also saw in your “about” section that you liked Alias. Alias is probably one of my all time favorite shows. I frequently use Sydney pictures on my personal posts on my blog.
My husband and I are also big Calvin and Hobbes fans and even named our oldest son Calvin after the Calvin from Calvin & Hobbes. Some find that odd but we also have a daughter named Harley so we’re unique ;-).
yeah, it’s about time someone won that deserved to win. congrats, DC. way to represent kc. i thought paula’s boobs were gonna pop out when that reject idol performed. how awful was george michael’s performance. it just dragged on.
Cook may be the best artist, entertainer and musician that Idol has ever seen. AI is just the beginning for him, and he rocks.
Mike, don’t be silly. Although Cook is really good. He isn’t near the caliber that Daughtry is or was.
I have not been a huge fan of American Idol since the huge letdown I felt when Justin Guarini lost in Season one. I showed a little more interest this year since a local was in the running. I am happy that he made it (although I still did not watch the show). As for Daughtry, I really had no idea he was from American Idol. I am not a huge fan of his music but he is very talented.
Didn’t bother to watch, since it was the lead on Fox 4 news every night. I understand there was a local connection, and the longer the guy lasted (and subsequently won) it was bigger news… But it shouldn’t be wedged in between earthquakes and the Dem primaries.
