Writers’ Strike May Be Over

The reports are out on most of the major news sources that the Writers Guild of America and the AMPTP (Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers) have reached a tentative agreement and could return to work as soon as Monday.

This is fantastic news because it takes a rather large bargaining chip out of Donald Trump’s hands. The Celebrity Apprentice is by far the worst iteration of Trump and (Survivor creator) Mark Burnett’s reality series. I’ve watched The Apprentice every season, but I’ve found this season so horrible and the celebrities so…um…lame, that it’s been a struggle to watch that stinker of a show.

The obvious flaw with the previous paragraph is if anyone were to ask the question: So why watch it? The answer is: there’s nothing else on. Sure, I could read a book. The book I’m reading right now is terrific, but most nights, it’s tough for me to inspire myself to read instead of sitting comfortably on the couch and vegging out.

The return of the writers means that one of my favorite new shows will hopefully return soon, The Big Bang Theory. I’m really looking forward to new episodes of all my favorites, but I’m particularly looking forward to the return of Sheldon.

  1. I started watching The Big Bang Theory online when there was nothing on television because of the strike. I can only get a couple episodes to work for me – so I am very exicted to see it coming back, and catch myself up on all of the zaniness.
