Alternatively, the current model will have a price drop if the new one doesn't suit your fancy. Even if the new one doesn't have the optical drive included, I would assume an add-on will be available for those times when a DVD is needed. The biggest question to ask is, does the new model provide a big enough performance/feature increase to warrant the cost? The wait will be worth it. 2 short weeks is worth waiting for potentially new features and bragging rights of having the newest item.
