Despite the snow yesterday, I braved the roads shopping for my beautiful wife. Then, against my better judgment, I went to Oak Park Mall.
Can anyone explain to me what possessed me to do that?
The even more ludicrous thing? I didn’t buy anything.
Ugh.
I did, however, correctly predict the Chiefs loss today and got my first birthday present from my awesome parents…NEW TIRES for my car. Sure, it’s not all that exciting, but I needed them so badly. My treads were totally bare. Thanks Mom and Dad!
One paragraph about the Chiefs:
The 0-13 Miami Dolphins eked out their first win of the season against the Baltimore Ravens. Watching the highlights of the game, I was thinking to myself: “The Chiefs could not beat the Baltimore Ravens. We are worse than the 1-13 Dolphins. Let’s hope the rumors are true and Edwards takes Carl Peterson out to UCLA. That would be sweet.
I feel like moving out of KC. Hey man, I’m off to Minnesota in the morning. Maybe I’ll convert to a Vikings fan on the flight. Go Adrian!!!
I can’t believe you don’t like Herman Edwards. I actually played for him when he coached in New York with the Jets.
I share your pain. The lions are much worse than their 6 wins show. I’m sure the dolphins would beat us now too. I’m sure the lions will win again now that they are out of the playoff picture. Just to get a worse draft pick and spin to the fans how they are making progress for next year. I’m also sure another wide receiver awaits. hang in there Chief fans, at least the fords don’t own your team and Millen isn’t your GM.
I don’t mean to brag, but I’m a Cowboy fan. I’m originally from Arkansas so I had no choice. Whole entire family is from the Arkansas area.
As for the Cowboys we dropped one with the Eagles, but it happens.
I like the Chiefs though. I really believe in ole Herm. I think if he had another year or so he could get things rolling in KC.
How long has he been coaching…a couple of years maybe? Remember the Colts? They went 3-13 one year and the next year they went a wopping 13-3 if my memory doesn’t fail me.
Have faith in ole Herm. I think he can do it.
I don’t mean to be skeptical, but Herm’s career record is 54-61. He’s never been further than the first round in the playoffs. AND…those teams weren’t even his. Everyone always wants to point to the fact that he’s been to the playoffs four times in six years, but he hasn’t done anything significant with teams of his own. The dismantling of the Chiefs is evidence. There’s not really a lot of hope for the future, either.
I can have all the faith I want, but I don’t have much patience when you see NFL teams turn it around in one year, not three. Like I’ve said before, I don’t believe that style of football works in the NFL anymore. Maybe for one year (Ravens), but not over time.
You got a point. I just know him personally and think he can get it done.
I’m hopeful. I’m also very skeptical. (Can you be both at the same time?)
We will miss you on your birthday! How’re the tires working? Ready to hit the road on Friday?
Go Royals!!!!!
Step 1 – I saw that Faneca (G from Pittsburgh) is a free agent this offseason. Or how about any of these:
