In an undeniable act of God, this year’s 2006 underachieving Chiefs made the playoffs thanks to some gutty playing by the Steelers, Patriots, and 49ers. And I have to give the Chiefs credit as well…they played their hearts out today and really took it to the Jags…showed them why only one team in the last 5+ years has won in Arrowhead in December.
I got the news as I was walking out of seeing Blood Diamond (awesome movie, by the way) and I informed everyone in the hallways at Olathe AMC 30 that “WE’RE GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS, BABY!!!” I’m pretty sure my whole family slunk into a corner and thought to themselves, we do NOT know him.
What a day. We’ll see how we do against the Colts potent offense and terrible run defense. Could be a fun Saturday.
Congrats. My Giants managed to win against the hated Redskins to make it into the playoffs too. With all their losing, they still just had to win, and they did. Not particularly optimistic since Eli still can’t be relied on, but in the crummy NFC, anything can happen (see GB currently beating the hell out of Chicago).
congrats. Maybe the Chiefs will play the Lions…or wait the Lions were elminated after week 5. Good news though Millen gets another chance to waste a high draft pick. I’ll take the Colts but I do think KC has a chance if they run the ball well.
