Two weeks in a row, America has been wrong on American Idol. Elliott Yamin should not have gone home last night. He should have won the whole competition (except maybe Chris).
If you figure that 50 million people voted last night, considering their percentages, the difference between first and last was only 300,000 votes. That is such a small margin when you are talking about 50 million total votes. Crazy.
Unfortunately now, it is all but locked up for Taylor Hicks, who I don’t get. I’ll never buy his record, but I might ask him to sing at a wedding or something like that. I just don’t see him doing much else.
And as for Katharine McPhee…after the home visits, I just liked her a lot less. She came across as a snob. I can’t put my finger on one thing that bothered me about it…just the way she acted and some of her snide little comments. The home visits made me like Elliott even more. I wish that they would have showed those last night because I think that might have been enough for Elliott to win.
I agree! Elliot should NOT have gone home. Taylor Hicks is terrible! What the heck is wrong with America? You are voting for a crazy man! What is happening to our shows? Apprentice has four idiots in the finals, American Idol has a 56 year old crazy man dancing around and Lee Anne was kicked off Top Chef! Agh! Taylor’s CD will never get my money. NEVER! I wouldn’t want him to sing at any wedding and if I ever see him singing in a hotel lounge or something, it will be all I can do not to trip him or throw somehting at him.
Seriously, someone needs to throw Taylor a bottle of Just For Men and some lithium. I haven’t actually watched the show, but whoever decided that a 29 year old man who looks 40 years older than his age should be on AI and in line for a contract should be fired with haste.
I have boycotted watching American Idol ever since Chris got voted off the show. Taylor is a crappy singer and he will have a shorter career than Ruben did…did tubby Ruben even have a career?
Ruben is actually getting ready to release his second album. Now, his career hasn’t been as much of a train wreck as, say…Justin Guarini’s, but even Justin Guarini is just finishing up his THIRD album!
