I can’t believe Chris is gone.
I didn’t want to watch American Idol this year. I probably didn’t start watching until there were about 8 left. I was protesting the fact that Bucky Covington made the top 12. Now, I’m totally hooked (wish that wasn’t the case, but whatever).
I find myself enthralled by the show now. Not because I would necessarily buy any of their records, but because the show is just so dang interesting. Last night was a prime example of why so many people watch.
The “Chrisaholics” obviously didn’t dial enough Tuesday night because in a shocker, he went home over Katharine McPhee (who looks a lot like Alli). Taylor HICKs still is around and I can’t figure it out. I always tend to agree with Simon more…he’ll have a great career as a wedding singer, but his voice is just…whatever.
I actually think that Elliott Yamin, the ugly good singer, might just win this thing. I think that he is very obviously the most talented vocalist and I hope that it is him and Katharine in the final (but I doubt it). What is it about Taylor HICKs that people love? Doesn’t he seem completely cheesy to everyone else? Every time I watch him perform, the smell of Gouda reeks from the TV.
Here’s hoping that America gets it right next week…they sure didn’t this week.
I agree, that was a disaster. That’s why I don’t really watch it much. I know what’s going on, but I don’t spend time watching it because the America voting always ticks me off. I can’t stand the people that vote to keep someone in rather than voting for the best person that should win. He totally should have won the whole thing, he knew and we all knew it. Fortunately for him, he will easily get picked up by someone and still have a fantastic career!! I look forward to buying his cd.
Dude, couldn’t agree with you more on how bad of a decision it was for callers to not put Chris in the top 3. I thought him and Elliott are by far the best 2 in the competition. Katherine at times is unbelievable, and at times she is very average. I just hope that Taylor is the next to go, but if he does win American Idol then I’m going to try out next year, because I am just as good as him!
totally agree, shane. i was a chris fan from the beginning. i thought it was going to be him and katharine in the finals, with chris winning it all. now, i think it is going to be “gay”lor hicks and elliot in the finals. i think elliot deserves to be there now instead of katharine. that guy has more heart than anyone on that show. and as far as taylor hicks goes, that turd burglar shouldn’t have even made it into the top 16, along with bucky covington and kevin covais (chicken little). i don’t know what it is about taylor hicks that everybody loves. yes, he has a good time when he’s performing, but i feel like it’s a joke that he’s even on stage. he can only do one dance move. and his voice isn’t even that solid. he can only sing one style of music. nobody will buy his record. his record sales will be worse than fantasia’s. i’m truly pissed off that chris did not win. he was the most confident with his voice and his style. i hope elliot wins now. i love katharine and think she’s a hottie, but she’s been pretty inconsistent the past couple weeks. i have a sick feeling taylor hicks is going to win. if this happens, i think i’m going to for sure try out for the show to bring back some real talent on american idol.
Chris was the best. Him not winnning is a travishammockery. It reminded me of why I stopped watching survivor. I watched season two and couldn’t handle it when Coby didn’t win. He dominated then lost. I hated it and haven’t watched survivor since. I doubt I will bother with Idol again this year. None of the remaining contestants are very good in my opinion. I agree their record sales will rival Fantasias.
