[...] There was a lot of really cool stuff in this book. I don’t know how Rowling continues to come up with new stuff at Hogwart’s, but there are new secrets, new tricks, and new spells that are all fascinating and have brought me further into the world of Harry Potter and his wizard and witch friends. I am going to try and take a break from the Harry Potter series for a while. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is next in the series and it is a Historian-like length at well over 700 pages. I am determined to finish Ogilvy on Advertising, but I don’t know if it is possible. We shall see. After reading this much fiction, it’s tough to jump back into non-fiction, but I’ll give it a shot. I guess you’ll see by the next book that I review. [...]

[...] A few weeks back, Brad gave me a book to read. He said that it was a great book…I think that I had just completed The Historian, which he loved, and so I thought I would give Creepers by David Morrell a shot. I started the book last Saturday during my downtime of the tournament. Having finished Ogilvy on Advertising, I thought that my trip to Seattle would be as good of a time as any to get the book done.
I have been saying it all along...George Clooney! What the heck is Forest Gump doing playing Langdon? I just don't buy it. I will still see the movie, but I am calling for a re-cast for Angels and Demons.

Glad you liked it. I was a bit more tepid in my evaluation. I liked it (it should have gotten 3.5 stars, not 3, but my rating system doesn't do halves), but was a little disappointed by the climactic scene (email offline so we don't give anything away) but still liked the ending overall. Not my favorite book, because it was so long and I think I wanted a bigger payoff for all that work, but I'd recommend it too. I think I would classify it as being a step above Dan Brown books, in the respect that Dan Brown is easily accessible - pop fiction, like Stephen King, if you will - while this is more literary and cerebral and develops characters more.
